The first Micro-turbine Wind Farm in the UK

Today, InterTech submitted plans for a Micro-turbine wind energy farm for approval. This new energy solution will harness the winds of the Humber Estuary. InterTech hopes to help minimise the effects of our modern society’s large carbon footprint. Unlike the large, propeller-based turbines, these vertical ‘whisk-like’ turbines are the first in the UK, they are extremely efficient in our Humberside location and are completely silent in operation.

The proposed wind farm installation was checked by the local airport authority (Humberside) to ensure that the turbines would not interfere with ground-based radar:
